Upadesha Sahasri

Considered an authentic work of Sri Santkaracharya, this is a compendium of countless number of teachings, alluded to as ‘sahasri’ or thousand. Comprising of a gadya (prose -116 sentences) & padya (poetry – 695 verses in 19 chapters) section, this expounds the teaching of the Upanishads in an expansive, elaborate manner. Considered as one of the ‘prakaraNa trikaM’, along with ‘naiShkarmya siddhi’ (of Sri Sureshvaracharya & ‘saMkShepa shArIrakaM’ (of Sri Sarvagyatma Muni), it unfolds the teaching in a gradual & deliberate manner, leaving no room for doubt in the mind of the qualified seeker.

A transliteration of select portions upto Chapter 17 and whole of Chapter 18 is provided for easy reference of students of advaita.
